Navigation Shortcuts
Move to the next cell in a row: Tab
Quickly jump to the next cell to the right.
Move to the previous cell in a row: Shift + Tab
Move to the cell on the left.
Move one cell up, down, left, or right: Arrow keys
Navigate cells using arrow keys.
Move to the beginning of the row: Home
Jump to the first cell in the current row.
Move to the beginning of the worksheet: Ctrl + Home
Go to cell A1.
Move to the last cell with data: Ctrl + End
Navigate to the last cell that contains data.
Move to the next sheet: Ctrl + Page Down
Switch to the next worksheet.
Move to the previous sheet: Ctrl + Page Up
Switch to the previous worksheet.
Move to the next section of text: Ctrl + Arrow keys
Skip to the next section of data (non-blank cell).
Move to the next non-blank cell in the same column or row: Ctrl + Arrow keys

Selection Shortcuts
Select the entire column: Ctrl + Space
Highlight all cells in the current column.
Select the entire row: Shift + Space
Highlight all cells in the current row.
Select the entire worksheet: Ctrl + A (press twice to include headers)
Select all cells in the worksheet.
Select a range of cells: Shift + Arrow keys
Extend the selection by one cell at a time.
Extend the selection to the last non-blank cell in the same column or row: Ctrl + Shift + Arrow keys
Select all cells until the next blank cell.
Select non-adjacent cells or ranges: Ctrl + Click
Highlight multiple ranges or cells without including everything in between.
Select the current region around the active cell: Ctrl + Shift + *
Select the entire region surrounded by blank cells.
Editing Shortcuts
Edit the active cell: F2
Enter edit mode for the current cell.
Cancel a cell entry: Esc
Abort the current entry and keep the original content.
Complete a cell entry and move to the next cell: Enter
Confirm entry and move down.
Complete a cell entry and move to the previous cell: Shift + Enter
Confirm entry and move up.
Delete the content of the selected cell: Delete
Clear cell contents.
Clear the formatting of the selected cell: Alt + E, A, F
Reset cell formatting to default.
Undo an action: Ctrl + Z
Revert the last action.
Redo an action: Ctrl + Y
Repeat the last action.
Cut the selected cells: Ctrl + X
Remove and store cells to the clipboard.
Copy the selected cells: Ctrl + C
Copy cells to the clipboard.
Paste the copied/cut cells: Ctrl + V
Insert clipboard content.
Open the Paste Special dialog box: Ctrl + Alt + V

Formatting Shortcuts
Bold: Ctrl + B
Make text bold.
Italic: Ctrl + I
Italicize text.
Underline: Ctrl + U
Underline text.
Open the Format Cells dialog box: Ctrl + 1
Access detailed cell formatting options.
Format as currency: Ctrl + Shift + $
Apply currency format.
Format as percentage: Ctrl + Shift + %
Apply percentage format.
Format as number: Ctrl + Shift + !
Apply number format with two decimal places.
Apply the general number format: Ctrl + Shift + ~
Reset to general format.
Increase font size: Ctrl + Shift + >
Enlarge font size.
Decrease font size: Ctrl + Shift + <
Reduce font size.
Add or remove borders: Ctrl + Shift + &
Apply borders to selected cells.
Open the Cell Styles menu: Alt + H + J

Function Shortcuts
Open the Insert Function dialog box: Shift + F3
Search and insert functions.
Start a formula: =

Use the function dialog box to build formulas.
Toggle absolute and relative references: F4
Switch between cell reference types.
Calculate all worksheets: F9
Recalculate all open workbooks.

Calculate the active worksheet and update open or embedded charts: Ctrl + Alt + F9
Force a full recalculation of all data.
Calculate all worksheets regardless of whether they have changed since the last calculation: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F9

Insert a new worksheet: Shift + F11 or Alt + Shift + F1
Add a new sheet.
Delete the active worksheet: Alt + E, L
Remove the current sheet.
Rename the active worksheet: Alt + H, O, R
Change the sheet name.
Move or copy the active worksheet: Alt + E, M
Relocate or duplicate a sheet.
Open the Format Cells dialog box for the active worksheet: Ctrl + 1
