DAYOFMONTH Function - SQL
Overview
The DAYOFMONTH function in SQL extracts the day of the month from a given date. It is useful for retrieving the day part of a date expression.
Example:
SELECT
DAYOFMONTH('2000-04-15')
Syntax:
SELECT
DAYOFMONTH(date)
date is the date from which you want to extract the day of the month.

Example: Hard-coded value
In this example, we are returning the day of month for the date ‘2000-04-15,’ the final output is 15.
Example: Query without the WHERE Statement
In this example, we are returning the day of month for all of the rows in the birthday column.
Example: Query with the WHERE Statement
In this example, we are returning the day of month for the rows in the birthday column where the first_name column equals ‘Kelly.’
