DAY Function - Excel
Overview
The DAY function in Excel is a useful tool for extracting the day of the month from a date. This function returns the value of a number between 1 and 31.
Example:
=DAY("1/15/2023")
Syntax:
=DAY(serial_number)
serial_number: This is the date from which you want to extract the day.
Example
In this example, the DAY function returns the day value from the “3/21/23” date. The final output is 21.
